Alaa Barakat is Director of Finance at Ayla Oasis Development Company. In this role, he is responsible for the company’s financial performance. He is also mandated to ensure successful business growth across the company and implementing best business practices and strategic planning methods. Alaa obtained a wealth of experience in executive and financial management spanning over two decades.
Alaa has completed successful tenures in the private sector– across investment banking, industrial and real estate development, and holding companies. Prior to that he worked with UNICEF in addition to Arthur Andersen & Co. Alaa has served on the boards and board committees of several private sector and not-for-profit organizations– currently a member of the Save the Children Board of Directors. Alaa earned a degree in Accounting and Economics from the Jordan University.
A Certified in Financial Management (CFM) professional and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), he is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). In addition, Alaa Barakat is a member of the Jordanian Association of Certified Public Accountants.
