Ayla Golf Club, part of the world-class residential and leisure destination Ayla in the city of Aqaba, hosted a amateur golf tournament in Texas Scramble format to mark the new year, drawing the participation of 36 players from various parts of Jordan.
The well-attended 18-hole tournament included nine teams, each with four players competing against one another. The best three teams took away valuable prizes.
With a net score of 59.5, Iyad Shehadeh, Amer Radee, Samer Halawa and Fuad Madi won the tournament. The first runners-up team included David Peterson, Mark Edwards, Arthur Hodges and Steve Denby, who posted a net score of 62.6. The second runners-up team comprised Javier Canseco, Javier Cueto-Felgueroso, Jamal Abu Elsamid and Midhat Wahbi with a net score of 62.7.
