Ayla Oasis Development Company (Ayla), a leading tourism and real estate developer in the Kingdom of Jordan, honored 113 outstanding teachers and student achievers from affiliated schools of the Directorate of Education in Aqaba. The ceremony was part of the company’s Takreem initiative that recognizes exceptional contributions to educational sustainability in the city.
Engineer Sahl Dudin, Managing Director of Ayla, Dr Khalid Thneibat, Director of Education for the Province of Aqaba, as well as various school principals and civil service representatives attended the ceremony, held at the InterContinental Aqaba Hotel. Organized in collaboration with the Tenth Mixed School for Girls, the event commenced with a homeland salute and a minute’s silent prayer for the country’s martyrs.
In his introductory speech, Engineer Sahl Dudin commended Jordan on its wise leadership for fostering a knowledge-based society and motivating the country’s citizens to aspire to higher goals. He highlighted the nobility and importance of the teaching profession and thanked the individuals who dedicated their lives to bringing up new generations capable of taking the country to great heights.
For his part, Dr Khalid Thneibat praised the nation’s continuous efforts in improving the education sector and expressed admiration for teachers who relentlessly work to instill a knowledge-focused mindset in their students. He also applauded Ayla for its dedication to advancing the educational sector in the province and noted that the Takreem initiative encourages a spirit of healthy competition to ensure educational excellence.
Also headlining the ceremony, Manal Abul Ezz, Director of the Tenth Mixed School for Girls, emphasized the role of such events in motivating students and teachers to stay focused on their journey of lifelong learning.
As part of the evaluation process, a panel of 38 education experts and civil service representatives visited the participating schools and assessed their performance against set criteria including procedure compliance and documented achievements. The judges assessed the programs adopted by the educational institutions based on their positive influence on students and their success in creating a conducive learning environment. The top achievers received bronze, silver and gold medals at the award ceremony.
