In line with its efforts to promote Ayla as a world-class, travel destination for leisure and business, Ayla Oasis Development Company (AODC) invited General Managers of hotels and Tour Operators in Aqaba to a tour of the project, to keep them up to speed with the latest advancements of Aqaba’s most reinvigorated community. Several components of the project are expected to move forward from the construction phase to the operational phase in the months to come.
Commenting on the occasion, Director of Operations of Ayla Oasis Development Company (AODC) Chris White, a renowned global expert in the management and operation of resorts and multiservice facilities said, “The tour aims to bring tourism sector operators up to speed on the progress of Ayla. Upon completion, the project and its facilities will assist in attracting and extending the stay of tourists, play a vital role in achieving the objectives of the tourism program, positively impact overall service levels, as well as advance the city at large.”
The delegation which comprised of approximately 25 representatives from various Aqaba hotels, 23 representatives from Aqaba tourism agencies and travel operators, and a number of media representatives, listened to a briefing about the new facilities, particularly those included in the first phase of the project.
The first phase will be home to the largest marina in the city with a capacity of 202 berths, in addition to the first 18-hole championship golf course and nine-hole golf academy designed by the legendary Greg Norman, one of the world’s leading golf course designers. It also features two beach clubs, residential waterfront apartments, a 5 star Hyatt Regency hotel with 286 rooms, a boutique hotel with 75 rooms, and a myriad of entertainment facilities that will be accessible to residents of Aqaba and tourists.
During the visit, Managing Director of Ayla Oasis Development Company (AODC), Eng. Sahl Dudin, encouraged all tourism sector operators in Aqaba and beyond to increase efforts, and enhance collaboration to promote Aqaba as a prime touristic destination, and business hub, on both the regional and international fronts.
Eng. Dudin also urged them to utilize Ayla’s unique, premium world class lifestyle facilities and services in order to stimulate the tourism program and position Aqaba as a premier haven for tourism. Moreover, he reaffirmed Ayla Oasis Development Company’s (AODC) unwavering commitment to delivering dynamic projects in order to contribute to the development, and growth of the city of Aqaba.
