Ayla Oasis Development Company Signs Electromechanical And Finishing Contract For Marina Village For JOD 86 Million

Three man-made blue lagoons with a total area of 750000 m², and comprising a constellation of 17 white sand beaches are spread over the Ayla community.

Ayla Oasis Development Company Signs Electromechanical And Finishing Contract For Marina Village For JOD 86 Million

Ayla Oasis Development Company signed an 86 million Dinars contract for the finishing, electromechanical, and external works of Marina Village, which is the first and the public and focal point of Ayla. The Marina Village will encompass two hotels and some of the project’s commercial and entertainment components, as well as a group of residential units supporting service facilities. This village will enhance the hospitality, commercial and entertainment offerings in Aqaba and the area as a whole.

 

On this occasion, Engineer Sahl Dudin, Managing Director of Ayla commented, “We, at Ayla, are pleased to be sharing our achievements in their various stages, and for being a part of rebuilding the trust in Aqaba as a hub for foreign investments.. I assure you that the commencement of these works; including mechanical and electrical works, in addition to exterior and interior construction and finishing of the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Souk Area, as well as the Souk Hotel will be executed in line with the highest specifications and quality standards, making them a model for the Ayla lifestyle.”

 

On behalf of the joint venture of Arab Towers Contracting Company and the Turkish Erenport Insaat Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.S –, Mr. Hisham Wadi, stressed on their joint commitment to execute all the works according to international specifications and within the agreed timetable. He also expressed his pleasure on the commencement of this project saying, “The project will be a great tourist destination for both domestic and international tourists. It will also hold immense investment opportunities for all interested parties, as well as having a positive impact on the national economy. It also highlights the role of the local contracting company and its abilities to implement major projects in partnership with the international companies working within the sector,. in order to achieve the highest levels of quality standards that Ayla embodies and seek to maintain. ”

 

 

It is worth noting that the works will be divided over the course of 33 months, and is expected to be completed by the end of 2017. Upon commencement, works will be divided into three main areas; the Hyatt Regency Hotel, the Souk Area, and the Souk Hotel. The Hyatt Regency Hotel will cover an area of 68,000 m2, with 286 rooms and 6 Food and Beverage Outlets. The hotel will house various banqueting and meeting facilities, in addition to an international health and fitness centre. It will also contain a private beach club and a set of pools that will cater to different age groups, with tailored activities for kids.

As for the Souk Area, it is expected to cover an area of 46,000 m2, with 47 retail units covering restaurants, coffee shops, cafes and other mixed shops. The Souk Area will also include 75 residential units and a number of recreational and entertainment facilities, water features and landscaped areas overlooking the Marina lagoon, as well as supporting facilities and parking lots.

 

The Souk Hotel, on the other hand will be built up on an area of 18,000 m2, accommodating 74 rooms, an array of restaurants and retails, as well as recreational facilities including a gym, pools and water features spread over four buildings.

 

This project is expected to provide nearly 1000 job opportunities through the contractor during the construction phase and approximately 500 direct permanent job opportunities during the operational phase, thus boosting the national economy. Moreover, Ayla hopes that this contract will bring considerable amounts of investments into Aqaba, which will consequently bring huge economic growth to the country and the region as a whole.
