Returning for its thirteenth edition, this unique event continued to build on the many successes of Run Jordan and its longstanding legacy of serving the Jordanian community and raising awareness on the importance of running and healthy lifestyles.
The event also continued Run Jordan’s efforts to raise funds to support various charity organizations under the heading of “Run for a Cause.” For the fifth year in a row, the marathon carries the Ayla brand as a key partner in supporting this noble endeavor, which is considered the largest athletic display in Aqaba with more than 2,000 participants spanning its three categories.
It is worth noting that the marathon consists of three primary challenges: the half marathon (21 kilometers), which is the main event; the mid-range 10 kilometer run, which begins at the northern gate of the Ayla Project; and the shorter 4 kilometer run for children, which takes off at the Ayla Contractors Entrance. All three races conclude at the Great Arab Revolt Yard, thus allowing participants to enjoy a medley of spectacular views of the Ayla Project and its various facilities.
