Ayla Oasis Development Company organized a professional workshop specialized in developing skills for the labor market. It included a group of young graduates of SOS Children’s Village in Aqaba and job seekers. This step came as a part of Ayla’s programs of social responsibility and long-term partnership with children’s villages.
The workshop, which was held at Ayla’s Makarim Academy, in cooperation with the Department of Human Resources, included several topics aimed at developing their communication and communication skills. In addition, it included developing CV writing capabilities, mechanisms for dealing with job interviews, and other topics.
This workshop aimed to enhance and develop the skills of new graduates and job seekers, inform them of the opportunities available in the local market, face challenges after graduation, and integrate them into business institutions.
Dirar Al-Jawarneh, Director of the Social Responsibility Unit in Ayla, said: “We are pleased with the continued partnership and support provided to children’s villages in Aqaba. This workshop embodies the continuation of work with its graduates to provide them with skills and abilities and to qualify them to enter the labor market through opportunities that suit their needs and capabilities. The workshop helped young people and orient them in specialized areas such as job interviews and preparing for them as well as communication.”
The presenters at the workshop presented a summary of their experiences to the participants according to a clear plan and based on the needs of the labor market and establishments, whether at the level of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone or at the national level, which contributes to their preparation of work appropriately.
It is noteworthy that the workshop for developing functional skills is a part of the ongoing partnership program between Ayla and the SOS Children’s Villages in Aqaba, which has been going on for nearly 10 years, under which Ayla adopts Ayla’s house in the village.
