The Jordan Golf Federation, in collaboration with Ayla Golf Club, is gearing up to host the 34th edition of the Jordan Open Golf Championship. Scheduled to take place from September 2 to 4, 2025, on the world-class golf courses at Ayla, the tournament is expected to attract elite Arab and international golfers, with meticulous preparations underway to elevate the championship to the ranks of world-class sporting events.

This year’s edition reaffirms the long-standing institutional partnership between Ayla and the Jordan Golf Federation. The organizing committee has already begun extending official invitations to the Arab Golf Federation and several regional and international golf associations to participate in the championship—one of the most prestigious and influential amateur golf tournaments in the Middle East.

Sahl Dudin, CEO of Ayla Oasis, expressed his pride in the continued partnership with the Jordan Golf Federation, noting: “Hosting the championship at Ayla for the ninth consecutive year reflects our deep commitment to positioning Aqaba as a premier sports and tourism destination. With our globally accredited facilities and rigorous organizational standards, we aim to exceed expectations at every edition.”

Tournament Director Alaa Barakat emphasized that this year’s event will mark a turning point in the championship’s journey in terms of organization and participation, stating: “We’re working closely with all stakeholders, particularly Ayla Golf Club, to deliver an unprecedented tournament experience—one that reflects Jordan’s growing stature on the regional and international sports scene. We’ve assembled dedicated committees to oversee every technical and logistical detail to ensure a world-class competitive environment that highlights emerging talent and strengthens Jordan’s footprint in the sport.”

For his part, Mr. Nasser Al Shomali, Vice President of the Jordan Golf Federation, highlighted the championship’s national impact: “This year’s edition represents a major milestone in our journey to advance the sport across the Kingdom. We are proud of our exceptional partnership with Ayla, which has been instrumental in taking the championship to new heights. We look forward to welcoming players from across the globe to foster knowledge exchange and elevate the level of competition.”

The tournament is a result of a strategic collaboration between the Jordan Golf Federation and Ayla Golf Club—each playing a complementary role in ensuring the event’s success on all fronts. This partnership has raised the bar for technical and logistical standards, creating a professional environment that attracts players from around the world and reflects a shared vision to advance the sport of golf in Jordan and position the Kingdom prominently on the global tournament calendar.

Further strengthening its global position, Ayla Golf Club recently received four prestigious awards for sustainability from the Sustainable Luxury Awards 2024, earning recognition as one of the world’s leading golf courses in harmonizing development efforts with environmental preservation. The accolades included the Most Sustainable 18-Hole Golf Course in the Region, Most Sustainable Desert Golf Course Worldwide, Most Sustainable Mountain Golf Course Locally, and the Most Sustainable Championship Golf Course in the Middle East.

The Jordan Golf Federation continues to uphold its steadfast commitment to growing the game nationwide—through the organization and support of local and international tournaments and active participation in global golf events. The Federation is also focused on expanding the base of golf enthusiasts and athletes in Jordan, from amateurs to professionals, through inclusive training and development programs that promote the sport and deepen its presence within the local sports community.

Through strategic partnerships—most notably with Ayla Golf Club—the Federation seeks to establish Jordan as a regional hub for golf and a key player on the international stage.
