Ayla Oasis Development Company has renewed its collaboration with the Marine Science Station of the University of Jordan – Aqaba Branch under a two-year agreement aimed at implementing an integrated program for monitoring marine life, water quality, and sediment conditions within Ayla’s lagoons, while further advancing scientific efforts to protect marine ecosystems and support their long-term sustainability in line with the highest international environmental standards.
The agreement reflects Ayla’s ongoing commitment to preserving its unique marine environment through specialized scientific studies that include the collection and analysis of water, sediment, and biological samples, conducting field environmental surveys, and preparing periodic technical and scientific reports that contribute to informed decision-making and enhanced environmental management practices.
The partnership also includes the development of an advanced coral reef health monitoring program within Ayla’s lagoons using artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies. This initiative underscores Ayla’s commitment to adopting cutting-edge scientific and technological innovations in marine conservation, enhancing the ability to detect environmental changes at an early stage and supporting long-term protection and sustainability efforts.

Leveraging the scientific and technical expertise of the Marine Science Station, we will continue implementing monitoring programs and environmental studies in accordance with international best practices, ensuring the provision of accurate data that supports the conservation of marine ecosystems in the Gulf of Aqaba.”
